ChatGPT: An opportunity for coaches to explore?

ChatGPT is making waves in various sectors today, and coaches can benefit from it too!

So now's our chance to think together about the best way to make the shift to AI, while respecting your DNA and that of iNNERSHiP. Philippe, coach in France and with us for many great years, will guide you through this AI-powered tool.

First things first, what is it? ChatGPT is a powerful tool capable of generating a wide range of content.

However, its true power lies in how skillfully you use it.

Superficial use can yield mixed results, but with a thoughtful approach, the possibilities are endless.

How to Use ChatGPT

ChatGPT is neither an encyclopedia nor a search engine. It doesn't differentiate between true and false, nor between right and wrong.

Its sole role is to predict the next words based on the provided data. This is why the quality (and accuracy!) of the responses depends entirely on the quality of the questions asked. Don’t hesitate to ask follow-up questions to refine your request based on its initial responses.

But what are the different ways to effectively integrate ChatGPT into your coaching practice? Philippe shares some concrete examples of how he uses it:

  • Evaluating your coaching skills

Example: Identify your strengths and areas for improvement or blind spots using various coaching methods.

  • Optimising your commercial presentation

Example: Create a presentation pitch based on your strengths; turn this pitch into a compelling summary for LinkedIn.

  • Pedagogy and supervision

Example: Enhance your knowledge of different coaching methods, such as systemic or paradoxical approaches; propose personalised coaching strategies over several sessions.

  • Preparing coaching sessions or deepening specific topics

Example: Develop basic questions to deploy various coaching methods; suggest practical exercises, role-playing scenarios, and situations for individual online sessions.

  • Creating educational sheets

Example: Create a tailored practical sheet based on emerging client needs during a session. For instance: reframing techniques, the drama triangle and psychological games, managing stress, giving progress feedback, etc.
